Botanical Habit

An imprint of plants in the VU Hortus Botanicus. The visual descriptions of the plants is made by the plants themselves; Botanography.

Context

Collection of textiles produced during a print event at the VU Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam.

At the moment of the print event the VU Hortus was listed to be closed in the coming year so the present collection of plants would move. I mapped a selection of the plants by using the (artificial) rain of the greenhouse to imprint leaves with filmed textile. The visual descriptions of the plants is made by the plants themselves; Botanography.
